Environment Monitoring and Audit

Monitoring can be focused on the activity itself, e.g., process control of steering and quality control. Monitoring can also be focussed on the external environment comprising the external outputs, e.g., emission, transmission, emission, exposure, intake and effects. This may include gaseous, liquid and solid emission including their changes of state.it may also include the different environmental compartments air, soil, water, groundwater or biota and the possible changes of phases between them.it certainly will have to cover the potentially affected habitat. for activities on a local or regional scale, this will imply the recurrent observation of the affected watershed or coastal zone. critical aspects will be the reconnaissance of the unaffected zone (upstream), the hot spot (activity centre), and the zone of impact downstream. For reconnaissance of impact at a transboundary or global scale, monitoring or river basins, oceans and atmosphere will be required. Decision-makers in EIA will generally be limited to monitoring issues at a local scale and the essentials are the reconnaissance of the zone of impact versus the reference zone of zero impact.

Monitoring networks

Several monitoring networks can be distinguished:

ENVIRONMENT AUDIT

Environment audit is a comprehensive audit to benchmark environmental management performance against the latest best practices or to the organizations specific requirement/criteria. Thus, the environmental audit could focus on energy consumption, legal compliance, waste minimization and water usage. Under Environmental (Protection) Rules, 1986, mines, industries and other project proponent need to submit an Environmental Statement in prescriber format or forms every year. Our Environmental Audit will help organizations to meet their compliance obligation with emphasis on continual improvement.
